Hi guys, I got some guppies in a community tank, 4 females and 1 male. But all they do is stay close to the surface and that's it. They only move when the Zebras Danios get close to them and during feeding time. Otherwise they don't move from their spot. Is there something wrong with them?

nah i think theyll be fine theyre not sick. not all fish are active. also how big is the tank

Unless they're gasping at the surface or have clamped fins, they should be ok. Are they feeding properly and even attempting to breed?

My guppies are pretty active, but that doesn't have to be true for all guppies. :dunno:

Thanks for the quick reply,
They are in a 70 gals tank, PH = 7, Ammonia = 0, Nitrites = 0, Temp 24 Celcius.

Just a moment ago one of the females guppies went on a crazy swim, very fast up and down and now she is just lying at the bottom of the tank. :(

Tempest, their fins are not clamped, not gasping for air and i think my male guppy is gay -_-

I get the feeling that there is something wrong in my tank, could it be a bacteria or some virus? I added 11 neons 2 days ago, without going through the quarantine process coz don't have a quarantine tank. I think i better buy one and prevent this things from happening again. sigh
