Guppies On Top?

can anyone tell me why my new guppies are staying at the top of the tank please?

thats what mine do, its nothing to worry about, especially if you are sat near the tank, they probably think they are gonna be fed!

Check it's not a long-term thing and make sure no other fish start doing it as it could suggest a lack of oxygen.

all other fish seem fine,must be ok,just a bit shy!thanks for help

They usually do dwell at the top of tanks, either that or they are needing fed.

are they gasping for air? how long have you had them? my gupps are hardly ever at the suurface except when feeding

Water quality only affecting guppies maybe?

every one i have bred go to the top when they see you.

Just to add to this, its usaully nothing to worry about. Mine to do this to, and Its not an oxygen issue for me, as a lot of the time they are at bottom as well as other fish.
