hi all

my brother has taken my old tank from me, which has been ctcled

i carried out a waterr test last night and water levels are ok

he has 3 guppies whos are loosing the colour from there tails

can anyone help?

What size is the tank?
How long have you had them?

Try doing a quick water change. About 20%.

Any white or red edging to the tail, or red streaks running through the tail

I've noticed my blonde female fuppy is loosing it's coloring on its tail as well at the bottom anyhow...

I'd like to know what this is as two of my guppies have this, one has white edging the other doesn't, its like a ghostly mark on the other one x

Thanks wilder, that was really helpful. Its definitely apparent that our fish have an outbreak so we've bought some finrot medication today so we're treating them x

It's finrot? i don't think so, not if its not eating the tail..

Our female guppy with the fading tail now seems to be having trouble holding its back end up, it seems to be drooping down. What could this be, its one thing after another tut, poor thing. We've treated for fin rot. It doesn't seem distressed just hanging around the filter and very sluggish x

If you mean its bent in the spine region then it certainly sounds like Tuberculosis...
Symptoms; colourloss, skeletal deformities, emaciation, lethargy, loss of appetite amongst various others.

Its not bent because it then straightens up to swim, it just can't seem to hold up its tail when its near the top x
