Can a guppy fall in love?? I've got a pregnant female (there's a surprise  ) and one male just won't leave her alone, despite the fact that there are other females in the tank and the other male chases those. This one male doesn't harras her, just swims by her side, constantly, almost protecting her from other fish. I've never seen behaviour like this before

I know I'm an old cynic, but I still can't help feeling he is waiting for a tasty snack. Just see how it goes, if he doesn't pounce on the emerging offspring, then we'll have to admit that he truly is a new man.
