I am going to an aquatic convention and I am going to be purchasing a couple high tier expensive strains of guppies and endlers to breed and sell the fry just for a small profit. I plan on setting up some 5 gallon buckets and lots of my water hyacinth (which is still for sale if anyone wants any) and letting them breed on their own. I have done this over the summer and I have had about 50-100 guppies in a single 5 gallon tub. Yes it is overcrowding, YES they are happy. because they BREED in there. They are always moving and I have never had problems with ammonia because the water hyacinth is great at removing it. I have bred guppies a lot of times and never worried about temperature, so would the fry be able to live in temperature of about 70 degrees? Thats my basement room temperature.
