guppies gravid spot!

Is it possible for my female guppy to have a natural dark patch around the ventral area? (its very dark!) or has she been pregnant since i bought her (LAST WEEK)?
I would appretiate any help you can give me. I would post a pic if i knew how to!

Yes she pregnant, feed her on a varied diet to help her along, bloodworms and peas, and daphnia.

Yes they can have a natral spot, thats how I sex my fry at 2 weeks. I also have one female that has never got pregnant I had her from birth, she not to old to have any more fry but she has still got her spot.

Is she FAT aswell. But being you balt her, the likely hood is YEs she pregnant.

Yes she is a little fat and the spot is quite lareg too and very dark,
Just wanna know for sure so i can take precautions to make sure they survive!
Think ill move the male to another tank for a week or two just in case!

Yes, I've noticed that some of my female guppies have a dark gravid spot from just a week or so old.

I think it depends on how much melanin they've got i.e. The ones with the darker gravid spots from birth will have more black in their markings.

Mind you, if they are getting fatter then I'd expect babies very soon.
