Guppies, Concerned..

2 of my japan blue guppies are acting very strange.

When i turned on the lights this morning, slowly as i normally do, using a dimming lamp first, then the hood light, one wass on the surface with its tail dropping, barely moving. The other on the gravel bed, barely moving.

But mid way through typing this message, when i initally thought they were very ill i checked on them and they are now swimming around fine with the other guppies.

Is this normal sleeping behaviour?

When the tank lights are turned off guppys do often take positions in the tank like at the surface or the bottom and hang around kinda motionless, this is essentially the guppys version of sleeping. If the guppys seemed fine after a short while after you turning the tank lights back on, then this is what was probably the case .

Good, they're swimming around fine now.

It scared the crap out of me though lol
