Guppies And Salt.

I have a little guppy problem, and I want to know if giving my guppy a little salt in his hospital tank will help or harm.

Also, how much salt can I put in a 5 Gal tank saftley for my guppy?

When I was keeping guppies I always had about 1 teaspoon of salt per 5 gal. When they were sick I raised it to 1 tablespoon per 5 gal. It seemed to work for mine. I kept guppies that way for about 15 years.

I just dosed my tank and I am using Aqua Tonic Salt..the dosage level for livebearers is 1 level teaspoon for every gallon I usually put a bit less for mine .
