Guppies can't breed with platies can they? My male guppy keeps pestering my female platies. I do have 2 adult female guppies in there with him and a male which he pesters also. There is also a young female (?) I'm hoping. It's smaller then my two other guppies that I have in there. Plus my female guppies always look pregnant but I've never seen them drop. They are chunky little monsters, and the male is nice and thin. The female guppies gravid spots seem to change everyonce in a while. Sometimes they look red and other times they look black. So I don't know if this is a sign that they have dropped or what.

No, they can't breed with platies but male guppy will chase any female, any breed. The gravid spot colour can change depending on the colouration of the females and it doesn't mean they've dropped. Sometimes in the morning when the lights have been off they can have a reddish spot which turns black later. And yes, with a male there the females will be constantly pregnant. They should be giving birth between 3-4 weeks max unless stressed, like bad water conditions, ammonia, etc...
