So one of our dalmation mollys just had fry. However they are slightly smaller then our other molly fry have been and color wise they appear to be split directly in half like a tuxedo guppy(which we dont have). The noses end on them looks like a silver molly. But the tail end is that opaque grey that our baby fancy guppys get. I have read some where they can crossbreed so I was wondering if thats what we have. Probably have almost 20 of them that look that way. Sadly they are to small for a good picture I think but I may try for one in the morning.
Any ideas? is there a molly taht splits colors that way?

It is very unlikely that this is what happened. But you are right in that it can happen.. if I remember correctly, the offspring are all male, look like oversized guppies and are infertile.

Well that would make sense for the color seperation on em Guess ill hafto wait till they are bigger to know :p

Most likely their just molly, guppy crosses are very weak and do not do well when young.

My wife thinks they look different because they are from one of the lyre tails. It just seems like such a defined color seperation and all of them ahve it so it is a little odd.
