RED HEAD TAPAJOS FRY 
for those of you who haven't been here very long, this is a type of geophagus that i've been dying to get for the last year or so
soooo pretty and only 6" when adult!
i went to the Atlanta Area Aquarium Association fish auction on Saturday and Fishfarm had ONE bag of 4 2" Tapajos fry. i just couldn't resist... i won them for $29 bucks. it was touch and go because there was this other lady there who wanted 'em and i would have had to give up if she went to $30, but she took pity on my poor student butt
i am so totally stoked!
i also bought (drumroll, please) 9 Convict Cichlid fry for $3 they're supposed to be a special pink/purple color morph from Rio Chulatapeca or something. whatever they are, they're adorable 
i just hope that they all grow up at the same rate 'cause i've only got the one tank for them even if i do have to slowly hand them over to the LFS, i know i'll get $3 worth of fun out of watching them grow. who knows? i might even get a pretty pair out of them. i like to malign Convicts as evil, but i do think they're beautiful fish.
