guarami and convict

my convict is acting really with my guarami he goes up to my guarami and the guarami rolls upside down and swims slowly all around thewm haha anyone no why

THey're not quite sure what to make of each other. Chances are the Convict will harm the Gourami eventually.

there actualy like best freinds haha they hang out in the same hiding spot and never leave each others side i think they are a couple of convicts haha

Just because you "think" they are friends doesn't mean they are. I suggest that you do some research on both of them.

well when the convict is stressed he has red show up on his chest whjen he is not it goes away so hes not mad at him buddy so dont worry about it cause i did research

Oh good, then you already know it's a terrible idea to house a gourami with a con. The red on his chest is more likely a show of aggression and dominance than "stress," and as has already been said, the con will probably harm the gourami eventually. Do whatever you like with them, they're your fish, but don't say you haven't been warned.

Unusual behaviour, I've never heard of a male convict going red in the belly as a sign of aggression. Only ever heard of females having the red/orage belly, but stranger things can happen I guess.

Also, I agree with what everyone prior to me has said, If your convict decides he doesnt like your gourami anymore, its curtains for your gourami. He wont stand a chance really.

sounds to me as though the guarami is exhibiting some type of submissive behavior. Im sure it senses that that convict can be quite agressive. Hope they continue to get along.

thats exactly what i though is that the guarami was doing what dogs do and it seems that way because the convict is not bothering him at all but if he does then bye bye guarami i like the convict more haha
