so i have had my GSP for about a month now, and he likes to come to the front of the tank whenever i am around. since the tank is next to my desk i am there often. yesteraday i decided to just put my finger in the tank to see what would happen...he curiously looked at, then at the finger, then back at me, then he made a dash for my finger and took a bit out of my finger. has anyone else had this happen? I also heard that you can put some shells in the tank for a GSP to chew on, is this true

you dangle possible food in a carnivorous animals living area...and you didnt expect him to take a bite and see what it tastes of?

GSP are a brackish fish so snails wont last long, what to do if you are worried about beak growth is feed cockle's, mussels etc in the shell, but crack them up so he has to chew the meat from the shells.

Tetraodon Nigroviridis (Green Spotted Puffer)

i figured he might be a bit more stand offish and wait for longer than 5 seconds to take a bit out of something that appears to be MUCH larger than he is. he gets live snails every friday!
