I'm trying to make my GSP tank a little more visually appealing. I have some small drift wood, a rock arch that I created with some silicone and some fake plants. In another tank I've had some anacharis that is growing like crazy so I took some of it out of that tank and put it in this tank because I read that it should be able to handle the brackish salinity. I like the look better than the fake plants - the puffers decided they didn't I guess. One or both decided to chomp the anacharis off at roughly the same height on multiple plants. I don't know what to think of this. I'm tempted to put another plant in to see if it happens again... maybe I will next water change. I don't believe they are eating it, just chose to trim it in half.

Has anyone heard or seen of this before?

It happens with most F8s and GSPs. For leafy plants, they turn them to Swiss cheese. For slender plants, they bite it in halves.
