Don't you just hate it when you go out and buy a 4ft tank and the next day you find an 8 x 2 x 2 1/2 for sale

Oh tell me about it, every single time My worst was a friend told me his friend had an 8ft x 3ft x 2ft tank that was sitting in the garden and if I wanted it I could have it. I nearly pee'd my pants until I found out it was in Devon

Its so tempting. He,ll take a 4ft plus cash for it. He,ll not want the 4ft we got last night cos its really old and only cost £30. So I keep thinking we have a 4ft bow front in the living room we could swap it but we still couldnt fit the 8 ft in there because theres already a rio 400 in it. The only other place for it would be the garage where we,ve put the 4ft we just bought. But is there much point having a beautiful big tank in a cold garage that you couldnt sit for hours watching without getting hypothermia.

is there no room if you move the 400 somewhere? just get rid of the sofa or any wall cabinets

I could knock a wall down Already have a 350 litre in bedroom so that wouldnt be an option. Corner tank in hall but wouldnt fit anyway. The only option I have is throw the kids out onto the street. Theyre 22 and 20 so its about time they fended for themselves. That would leave me with just a grandson and a free bedroom

Well seems to me you have your answer... getting rid of the kids clearly involves the least amount of construction. Could you trade them for a couple of plecos or something?

Have decided not to let my heart rule my head and stick with what we've got at the moment.
