Ok, I am turning to my fellow fish keepers for some wisdom here... About a week or two ago I noticed a green growth on one of my angelfish's pelvic fins. It looks like algae and I thought maybe he rubbed it off a plant, but the thing never came off. I have never heard of algea growing on a fish... is it possible? or is this something else? If it is harmful how should I remove it? I greatly appreciate any comments/advice.

Seen it before and it usually goes away on its own.
Only the colour green in deseases and usually it shiny green can be velvet.

Hey thanks for getting back me on that, everyone wants to chat about random fish stuff but it's hard to find help with sickness/abnormalities, though in this case it appears to be nothing... everyone else agree or has anyone else seen this? I just don't want my little guy to be sick. I appreciate it.

I would keep an eye on it :look: as it may turn into velvet, so be on the lookout for that.

But as stated above it doesn't seem like it is anything.

Good Luck!
