growing on tank

hi all....me again

as you may have read in earlyer threads i have a few cory babys
growing very quickly in a net breeder

i was told to think about getting a smaller tank together for growing them on


can anyone give me any info on what i will need and recomendations etc

Ho big are your babies? You could get a mini bow 2.5 or mini bow 5. They come with almost everything you will need. All you have to add is a 25watt heater and air pump. :D
 
I would suggest getting at least a 5 or ten gallon tank for them. As you probably know the larger the tank is the easier it is to keep water conditions stable. You want to keep the conditions stable as fry are sensitive to the water conditions. Bad water conditions can stunt or kill fry. I would suggest a HOB (hanging on the back) power filter even if you use a 5 gallon. I use a power filter made for a ten gallon in my 5 1/2 gallon tank and all of my guppy fry seem to be absolutely fine in it. Inside the tank filters (air driven) don't work as well and quickly make the tank dirty.

P.S. Congrats on having cory cat fry I have been asking about how to breed them on the board and no one will respond! I am jealous! :D
