these look like fun :) i dont have experience with these but they look like fun ! sorta like really growing the plants from nothing... but i guess its better to simple source plants that already look like plants from pet shops or other hobbyist :)

But does anyone have experience with them? What was the result? They say that they'll give you an exchange if the bulb doesn't sprout within three weeks. Is it worth buying?

No personal experience, but someone in here talked about buying them and said they all sprouted and were doing well

They are aponogeton bulbs. I bought a box from Petco and most sprouted. The box contains a variety of species of aponogeton and I even got a really beautiful tiger lotus bulb as well. The plants are easy to care for and are some of the fastest growing plants I've seen.

So is it better to just buy the plant itself? Or is it worth buying and cooler to watch it grow out of nothing?

They were pretty much the only plants we ever got to grow in our low light 55 gallon aquarium at home besides java moss. They're a much better deal than buying actual plants, and while you may only get half of them to sprout, I STILL think they were worth more than anything else we ever bought for that tank. Some lived for a few months then died, others lived for 2+ years until I moved out and my mom put cichlids in the tank...

Its a 7 dollar investment, and you really can't go wrong, especially considering a single live plant will cost 2-5 dollars, and you'll get at least 3-4 nice plants out of that package. I think there is some sort of guarrantee as well where you can send the bulbs that don't sprout back and get new ones.... but that was 4-5 years ago.
