Been a freshwater/reef keeper for many years and decided to return back to the world of freshwater planted aquariums.
Main decision is my 5x2ft reef tank is little heavy on maintenance as well as leccy bills so deciding to possibly close my reef tank and go for a planted easy to maintain/keep freshwater setup.
I've seen some stunning planted setups on the tube channel and would have as much relaxation as I do with my reef if my setup comes anywhere near that.
Once my reef setup is but sold and gone, monies for the sale will contribute to following setup.
120x30x3cm optiwhite aquarium
Substrate (tbd) for high to low aquascape
Oase 250 thermo filter
Co2 kit with atomiser
Dragon rock
Small neons and well as other bottom dwelling fish
Still to decide on the plant life as I do want carpeting effect as well as background large stem plants but this will happen on the scape setup.
Any comments and suggestions most welcome.
