Hi all,

Some bad news about Greenline, I'm afraid. I've just spoken to Andy to enquire about delivery dates and it seems he's been all but wiped out by a storm a couple of weeks ago, plus the high cost of air freight recently. His suppliers in Asia have also suffered storm damage along the same lines. He's waiting for an assessor to tell him whether it's worth carrying on after all the damage. It's a real shame; I've had fabulous service from Andy since I discovered his site, it's a shame not everyone provides such service. He says he still has some plants left, so anyone thinking of ordering should contact him sharpish. I wish him well whatever he does. Can anyone recommend any other online supplier - I'm re-doing my tank next week and really need to be ordering by this weekend.

From what I can gather, Fozz, there's not much of the site left, thanks to the storm damage and flooding; when the last few plants have gone, he'll have nothing left. Seems like an unfortunate combination of events have left him with very little to sell. Real shame.

wow what a bummer, greenline was such a great source, but i spose it might be bigger and better things to come, insurance money n that, im sure the hobbyists would love to see greenline stick around.

I'm sure that anyone who ever bought from Greenline would like to see Andy come back from this.

Gosh it would be a pity for Greenline to go, its always been a favourite of mine.

I have been buying plants from Andy for about 10 years, and would be very sad to see him go. Greenline have been one of the best budget plant sources in the UK for years now!

Andy, I have my fingers crossed for you.

As has been said above, it would be a shame to see Greenline go. Fingers crossed for you!

Agreed, the plants always arrived well packed and in good conditiion, hope it all works out!

According to the website, they're to cease trading as of the 29th :( . Was just about to purchase from them for the first time as I only discovered them just before the storm damage. Gutted for them as they seem to be held in very high regard.
