I was wondering if anybody has kept these fish before and if they would like to share their experience. I plan on getting one in a few weeks!

:hi: Pibs

Eels are not very common to owners on this forum. Your best bet would be to PM members Andywg and Lynden as they surely have the most experience keeping these saltwater critters

The green wolf eel (Congrogadus subduscens ) is not a true eel, but rather is a member of the Family Pseudochromidae (dottybacks).

They get to about 12" and I seem to recall reading that they get somewhat nasty; both in terms of not liking to share intimate spaces with other fish, and with a tendancy to snack on smaller tankmates.

A fairly interesting fish, but one you have to be a bit careful what you want to put with it. Generally not considered a "reef" fish due to its dietry nature of eating tankmates small enough to fit in a fairly large mouth.

I have read everything i can find about them on the internet but have only read about a couple personal experiences and i'm gonna structure/stock the tank around this fishes needs. Thank you for the information though and thanks for the welcome although i have been a member for many years but hated my old profile name so i decided to make a new one.
