10 gal tank
real plants
15 wat light
co2
plant grow ferts.

If sunlight is hitting ur tank than thats the problem if no it can be from the plant its loosing it color.

Do some more water changes. Or maybe the plant is loosing color.

ive tried blackouts moving the tank etc- i tried a bottle solution worked first time

dont use chemicals, they normally contain copper which will kill your inverts and may prevent you from ever having any inverts in the tank, which means no reef tank.

Try green water remover solution and algae remover. If your algae is green it means your tank is healthy. If it's brown, treat it.

Also, check ur filters for bloackages or built-up rubbish. Are u over feeding?

never heard green = healthy brown = bad.... Brown is diatoms, green can be a range of lots of different types of algae. There can be algae that looks bluish green and that is bad and a pain to get rid of and its not a good sign. Ideally you should try to somehow get rid of the algae without causing near permanent damage like using an algaecide chemical that contains copper.

Do you mind stating where you heard that?

I found this article very useful:

Dispels a lot of myths, a number of which have already been mentioned above. Most people just repeat the same old rubbish that has been going around for ages when it comes to algae. Controlling algae is tricky, even very experienced members in the planted tanks forum have messed up and that's with EI, Under gravel heating, CO2 injection, 3 or 4 lights coming on at various points in the day etc. etc.

The best algae cure in my opinion is fast growing plants. These will cure the majority of algae problems in a tank. If they don't then I'm afraid that the answer is beyond me. Certainly pop down to the planted forum and have a read through the pinned articles there. Things like Crinum thaianum, Limnophila sessiliflora, Rotala sp. , Vallisneria spiralis 'Tiger' are all relatively fast growing.
