Hi all,

got a question, hopefully someone can help.

My tank is going green, very rapidly.

I have two tanks, one which this doesnt happen to and another one which goes green really quickly.

I clean my tank out on a sat and by Monday its green again, a green covering over the glass and decor etc.

Can anyone explain why this is and how to stop it. As I say on my second tank it doesnt happen.

Hope this makes sence

From what I hear they just go away. But, wait for a more experienced reply. I don't think it's too serious though.

The only thing I can think of is this:

It could be your lights, have you changed to a different type or bought maybe stronger ones.

Are both your tanks the same size? If they aren't the same size which one is getting the green water? If it happens that it's the smaller one it could be the lights and the heat starting up the algae?

Just a thought.

Thanks for all the replies.

The tanks are identical in size etc.

i wll try minimising the light time during the day and see if that helps.

Please keep the suggestions coming
