Hi all,

I have got two out of my six green tiger barbs (the smallest) that seem to have gone a lttle docile and the other fish have taken a few nips and damaged fins. I have now placed them in a bag so they are protected in the same tank! (hospital tank is next purchase!!!) I am not sure what to do to help them, my gut feeling is they are beyond a point of return :( I think its just the stress of introduction.

Any advice.....

Tested levels today and have the following if its of any use to anyone?

pH = 7.2
KH = 15
GH = 16 (bloody hard water up here)
NO2 = 0 (Nitrite)
NO3 = 25 (Nitrate)
Ammonia = 0

Tank is 300 ltr 8 days old with fish been in a day..... 7 day fishless cycle with bacteria

7 Black Widow Tetra
6 Green Tiger Barb
4 Lemon Tetra
3 Serpae Tetra
2 Black Mollies (M&F)
2 Albino Catfish
2 Bronze Catfish

How long have you had the two docile barbs, how long did you climatise them for.
A stressed fish can soon become ill due to bullying.
Do the fish look pale also.
How is there breathing.

25 minutes
10 minutes mixing water
Release

Paler than the others and they just seem very docile, the serpae's took an interest in the nipping/bullying

Are they still eating.
Any signs of flicking and rubbing.
Being pale and lethagic can also be signs of a bacterial infection.
