Green Terror?

Hey all, my friend recently bought a green terror, currently it's a 29gallon ISO tank, but it'll be going into a 55gallon on it's own in a little bit, his greens only about 1.5", I was curious, what's the growth rate on these? He's feeding Hikari Cichlid Gold, have 50gallons of filtration on the 29gallon tank and 110gallons of filtration on the 55gallon and he's pretty diligent about his water changes.

well in my experience they grow slowly till they reach 3/4" and then they get big fast er id say about the same speed as a jack dempsey and slower than my oscars and not a scrach on my flowerhorn that grew 8" in just under 3 months (12 weeks )

So that means what exactly? How long will it be til his little "buddy" is over 4"?

I bought mine about a year ago at about 1.5 inches. Now its only about 4 inches, so mine is growing pretty slowly. It's in a 55 gal. with weekly water changes and twice a day feedings. (most days)

i went on holiday for 2 weeks and when id come back mine had grown an inch, bulked up, and grown a nuchal hump =P
i think ive got the pics before and after...

AS soon as we returned, i took this pic straight away

and this is him a few weeks later before i gave him to my friend....

as u can see this guy had an AMAZING growth rate, i named him GT for the ovbious reasons.
