I have about 80 green terror fry ..i have seperated about half to a 10 gal and left the other half with Mom
im feeding crushed flakes

what else can i do to keep these guys alive?

Regular water changes with dechlorinated water and a varied diet. I suggest, Microworms, Flake and Baby Brine Shrimp when they are <1". And once they are bigger - Bloodworm, Pellets, Brineshrimp, Krill..Etc.

Also keep an eye on the ones with Mum, she may begin to eat them after a certain length of time.

Remember to monitor your water stats (Ammonia, NitrIte, NitrAte) and keep them at respectable levels (0, 0, <50)

A good parent will crush foods up for the fry and feed it to them. If the fry are in a tank with only the parents then survival rate should be quite high (75% and upwards providing you have a decent sized growing tank). I use a Jewel 180 as my growing tank. As mentioned before keep the water fresh and clean, make sure u feed regularly in small amounts and your fry should grow into juveniles without too much hassle. The biggest problem then is to find new home for them all (I give mine away to an LFS as im not in it to make money and to be honest unless you own a huge breeding farm you will never make money breeding fish).

Good Luck
