Hi All, I really need some help here. I have a 250Lt freshwater tank with 2 large Oscars, 2 Large Tin Foils, 1 Pleco, 1 Squeeker and 2 Malawis. My tank water has gone green. I have been doing a partial water change every week and I add cycle, and Aqua Plus. The PH level is fine and the Nitrate level is also ok. I have tried adding Magic Clear Pond Clarifier as per instructions but the water is still green. I have changed the filters and added more carbon but nothing seems to help. You can hardly see the fish, the water is so green. The fish seem fine and healthy and dont seem bothered by the green water but I am stressed out trying to find a cure. Has anybody got any good suggestions?

Also I have been told that my Tin Foils and Oscars are now too big for my tank so I would like to swop them for some Malawis. Anybody interested?

I'm no expert on green water in aquariums but I'm a keen angler & I know when the water goes green in the ponds & lakes I visit it usually means one thing... algae!

Thanks for the info. I have done a three quarter water change in my tank and now it is a lot better. It was too much sunlight shining on my tank that did it so now I cover the tank when the sun hits it in the morning.
