Hello all, I was at the wal-mart fish section the other day and was looking at the tanks when I saw tons of bubble looking fish that were named green spotted puffers. Well I have one question, how many can fit into a tank at wal-mart? I saw at least 10 with some other fish. When I looked online the minimum size tank was 55gallons, Is that true? Im not sure what the adult size looks like but the ones at wal-mart were a bit small , do they grow really big or just stay small?

If you are very intersted in getting a puffer, there some dwarf varieties out there. I don't know a whole lot about them, except for that they are aggressive yet very cute.

I have one gsp in a 20 right now, but need a 30 gallon soon. She has grown fast, she was so tiny when I got her. The good thing is that they are not picky eaters. They need frozen bloodworms, snails (I have my own colony of them in my tropical tank) twice a week and I also give her fresh unshelled shrimp. They are cute and it doesn't take long to get used to how much salt to use. The salt used to start tank before getting her, took awhile to get it right salinity. I have had her since the summer and she is doing well. She is jumpy, so need to have tight top with no spaces or she might jump out of tank. Whenever I open tank lid she starts freaking out and almost jumping out of water. There are alot of info on internet easy to find that is very useful
