Green spot algea turned white?

Hi

I have a problem with WHITE algea

I am not sure if it is algea or not but its grwon on places where there used to be green spot algea. I think the green spots may have turned White for some reason?

It is very hard to scrap them off and they look so ugly. its making my plants look white!

do any of yous know the reason for this and how to treat them???

Sorry, never heard of white algae. Could it be a fungus I wonder?

no sorry i cant take pics i dont have access to a digicam right now. damn

well is it possible for me to kill the green (now yellowy white) spot algea by taking the plant out (anubias most seriously effected) and puting it into a bucket and leaving it in the dark for several days?

is that a possible way to treat normal green spot algea? if so i will give it a try with my green white algea. how many days shud i leave it in the bucket?
