I have green spot algae in my planted tank
.
I did have (and do still have a little) diatoms which is now being taken over by the green spot algae.
I have anubias and java fern in the tank, and I've just introduced some elodea densa to the tank to see if it would help. The tank is low light, no extra CO2 or fertilizers.....I could add fertilizers however....the tank is a newt tank. I was recommended via a newt forum to get plants that would grow on bog wood (hence my choice) so that they'd not need fertilizer as newts and fertilizer don't mix too well apparently.
Is there anything I can do to help eliminate the green spot algae apart from loads of elbow grease?
