Please read my other thread regarding my black molly with the cotton wool seeping from its gill.

Now, looking in our tank, we have a Tiger Barb that has green patches on its body. Would this stem from the problem with the molly? If so, what do we do?

The molly is in a separate bucket, in a salt bath, and has been for 2 days. Its not looking good! :byebye:

it could be a green tiger barb!i have some they are beautiful.does it look like the pic above
and has a green shine from the side?

It does look like the picture but has only just started going green, so its only a small patch. We've had them for a few weeks now and have always been orange and black. Is there something wrong or do they just go that colour?

To be honest i couldn't say if they went green, only ever kept cherry barbs you could ask in the forum section of that species.

Even regular tiger barbs will have what looks like a green shine to them under the right light....If the tiger is active and eating it'll be fine. At the first sign of poor conditions/disease tigers will hang in the water with there heads pointed down...and most barbs (especially Tigers) thrive in tanks that recieve regular water changes.

It seems to be acting normally. We shall see.
