no green neons are not dyed, the wolf has a profile of them in the fish index, they had some at a shop near me, but you dont say where u live

Opps ) I have never heard or seen these fish and assumed they were dyed.

Sometimes when i buy blue neons those pesky greens(or commonly known as false neon tetras) always turn up.

Just another type of Neon, but ask The-Wolf, i think he has them all

there are three species of tetra that have neon in their common name
the "standard" neon tetra Paracheirodon innesi
the green neon tetra aka false neon tetra Paracheirodon simulans
and the black neon tetra Hyphessobrycon herbertaxelrodi

The "std" neon is available in a few colour morphs
Diamond head neon tetra, gold[en] neon tetra, albino neon tetra & lutino neon tetra.
The only neon tetra I do not own is an albino form.

Bettas
Green neons are very sensative, more so than "std" neons, to water conditions.
they often die at any sign of nitrIte, so a good housekeeping regiment is needed to
keep these happy and healthy.

This is what bettas has in their tank:
15 gal
2 rummynose tetras
1 serpae tetra
1 x ray tetra
3 male guppys
a male platy
1 flying fox
1 peltobagrus ornatus
4 neons
2 glowlight tetras
You don't have room for any more fish. Particularly seeing as you still have that flying fox that needs a much bigger tank. A lot of your fish are also schooling fish that should be in larger groups - but don't add any as you don't have room for them. Actualy, without the flying fox, your stocking would be fine - but you still wouldn't have room for anything else.

How do you have 16 fish in 15 gallons without deadly problems? The rule is 1 inch of fish per gallon and all of those will be at least 1 inch when they r adults.
