I just done a like 70% water change and when my betta swam past the filter, some green goo came out of his body. Now he is laying on the bottom of the tank and he looks in pain... Do you know wat I should do?
Note; I have now turned down the filter, it was only turned up because I was changing water and experimenting with it...

Is there a hole where the stuff is coming out off.
I would issolate the fish quickly.

I'm not sure there is, but I couldn't tell you for sure. He is on his own anyway, and he seems to be swimming about a bit now, maybe it isn't something to worry about?

Where is the green stuff coming from on the fish.

Sounds like a bad infection to me, do you have any antibiotics.

United kingdom so no antibiotics, i think you need a vet.

It just seems like a big light green poo. He was healthyish before, but now he actually seems to be fine, must of been the daze of the cold water I added that made him go to the bottom.

No, it's not coming out of his gills, it's just like behind them on their stomach, and it isn't a poo. He seems to be fine now, but i'm still unsure, and I will keep it at the same temperature during water changes in the future. Thanks, Neal.

There must be an hole where is coming out of, or is it coming from the scales, is it long and stringy.

Does it resemble a parasite.
