Greedy Cardinals

My cardinals are the greediest fish in the tank and end up eating not only the food meant for the top and mid water feeders but also the poor catfishes food too. They end up with swollen stomachs but i need to ensure the catfish etc get their food.

Are there any tips in how to stop the Cardinals stealing everyone elses food, the catfish end up head butting the tetras away to get a mouthful

The only thing is i like to see them feed and it lets me check to see that they are all healthy.

food is catfish tablets, it always stays at the bottom.

I have the same problem with my silver dollars getting brine shrimp before my bichir can get to it. what I do is get the food in a turkey baster (they cost what, like a dollar ans something?) and deliver it straight to the fish, before whatever "greedy" fishes can get to it. it takes awhile for the fish to get used to it, but by now, my bichir comes straight to the baster when it comes out. Don't take my advice to heart though, i'm not an expert (MAKE SURE THE BASTER IS CLEAN!!! DO NOT USE SOAP TO CLEAN IT. )
