Great New Hobby

Hi All, I am obsessed with my new hobby, fishkeeping. I bought my son a 6 gal. mini system about 6 months ago. We could not read enough about tropical fish and stared at that damn tank all day. I bought myself a 36 gal bow for Christmas and already am planning for a 46 gal corner set up for the basement. Look forward to chatting with you.

I know what you mean - I only started in November 04 with a 48 x 12 x 12 tank, 3 months down the line I`ve now got 4 tanks and multiple fish.

I have only been at this with any clue since Aug. 2004. We had some fish when I was a kid but did not know much about it and lost quite a few fish on a regular basis. The nice people here have helped me a lot. Those Swords and guppies can give you a lot of babies if you have both sexes. The females will be pregnant constantly. My grow out is going to be way overpopulated if i do not get a second grow out tank soon. Sorry to say the Wife has banned me from buying any new fish stuff for a while so I am searching for used things that go cheap. Good luck and .

i know how it is.. its called MTS (multiple tank syndrome) alot of people here find them selfs battleing this disease....

i started my first (3rd actualy but first in years) tank in october 04 and now have 7 set up at the moment and 3 more waiting for some floorspace (not counting betta bowls)....
