I thought I had to mention this. I've just been to Maidenhead aquatics in Newbury, and they have a display tank with 2 Arowanas in (not sure what type, I presume they are silver) I've never seen a small arowana before let alone a massive great 2 1/2-3 foot one. OMG 
What a sight!!! I really want a massive tank so I can have one of these guys now!!!
They have a great selection of fish as well. I'm a bit sheltered when it comes to LFS's as the only one close to me is Maidenhead aquatics in Aylesbury, and they are tiny (although generally very good), so I don't get to see these lovely display tanks that often!!
Oh yeah, they also had a FW stingray for £900!!!! I think that would win one of those "whats the most you've spent on a fish" threads!!!!!
