Jus thought to myself wat would happen if i connected my co2 airline to the ventura (sp) on the top of my filter !

Would this be a good idea or not ! ?

Thanks

Richie

It would work fine, many use this technique. Not too sure of you're using a yeast-based system though, the effect on the venturi on the mixture etc.

I already do this temporarily in my plant holding tank. I'm only using it temporarily but it seems to work fine, It pushes tiny Co2 bubbles all around the tank.

I have an Eheim Aquaball filter that I have running in the tank and simply connected the CO2 line to the connector that normally allows air to be drawn in to the flow.

Should work fine, depending on how good the circulation is from your filter. I still prefer the glass ceramic diffusers for my main tank though.

Thanks alot man !

I didnt know of this, and was just wondering !

Thanks for replying so quickly !

is it normal for the amount of bubbles to decrease slightly after i have connected the c02 to the ventura ?

Is this anything to worry about !

and how do i know when my mixture is finished ?

Or should i just make a point of replacing it every 2 weeks ?

Its a 1 litre bottle i put about 3/4 of a cup of sugar in and also about 1 and 1/2 tea spoons of yeast !

i filled up to about 3 inches from top with water !

will this produce sufficent c02 for a 13 gallon tank that has 2 amazon swords and a Echinodorus subalatus ?

And could someone please tell me what and where to purchase "laterite" ?

Thanks

Richie

So im guessing that you would put this near to the roots of plants ?

Like it doesnt need to be put through all the substrate does it ?

This stuff is essential for plants that get there nutritons through there roots yeah ?

Thanks soo much for all the help

Its really appreciated

Something like these would be easier and arguably more effective to use. You can target plant roots with ease. http://www.aquaessentials.co.uk/index.php?...roducts_id=1211
