Hey bought a Redtailed Black shark for my 20 Gal Saturday, hes about 2inches long and dead cool. Getting 2 convict cichlids this saturday coming

Did you look at those clips

convicts will kill most other fish, unless they are with other BIG cichlids. They would probably kill an RTB Shark.

do you thinks so dude, they are about the same length as the Redtail, I was told by LFS, and this guy seems to know what he was talking about, that they would be OK, especiaaly if i got two females. If they kill my little mate I'll be real pi*s*d. Any

I wanted a Paradise fish if possible if i couldnt get 2 cics

Don't get 2 convicts! If you get a breeding pair they will kill everything in the tank, plus 20 gal is not big enough for even 1 i'm afraid. A pair of Rams is about your best bet, plenty to choose from though.

Personally I would feel comfortable with 2 FEMALE convicts and a TRBS. Naturally a breeding pair would become highly aggressive at breeding time (which is always) and kill the shark. Also two males would have territorial issues and then would prolly kill everything.
