Gravid Spots

Hiya,

Does anyone know if mollies and swordtails develop the gravid spot when pregnant as guppies do? I have many pregnant guppies, but can see a similar (but not quite so obvious) sign on my female swordtails and mollie. Could this just be a marking?

I know that mollies do have gravid spots like the guppies. I have dalmation and black mollies, so I never saw them!

On swordtails it's easier to see it on some colors and impossible to see it on others. My black swordtails and red velvets I can't see it, but it's real easy to see on the pineapples, neons and the red painted. I can also see it on the marigolds but not as well.

Some females of all livebearers develope it some don't ..... My green/neon swordtails are VERY easy to see ..... But I have never seen a gravid spot on a silver molly .... Reg. or sailfin duno why ..... Hope thid helps ya
