Gravid spot still there!!!

I have a Hi-Fin swordtail female that just gave birth to 20 fry. She still has the gravid spot though unlike the other females which dont show it after giving birth. What is happening? Will it go away? Has she aborted her delivery of the rest?

She may still be having fry. Sometimes it can take up to a week for them to have all of them. Or, as I've noticed with some of mine, the gravid spot seems to always be there. She may already be pregnant again.

Not pregnant yet. I just added a male to the breeding tank to liven her up. I think she has some more fry in her! She seems to be eating like crazy gaining strength.

Actually, she could be pregnant. They can have up to 7 batches of fry, with just one mating, since they store sperm.

It's possible she has more fry. I'd give her a few days.

Ahhhh yes you mean that....quite possible She looks also quite big, still. It will be swarming with fry then!
Maybe I should put her back in the main tank, I dont need more fry.

Yes, but they are so cute and nice! Fun to see them grow up I could get rid of them later, maybe.
