i just notice this  sometime the gravid spot gets red or even dissapears...and then maybe comes back later...very cery weird :hyper: anyone discover this with your guppies...this is the first time if bred these in a while...i used to but i usually do sword tails or plats..any replies would be appriciated <---i dont think i speeled that right...hah...

A virgin fish should have a nearly transparent gravid spot, sometimes a little pinkish dependant to the type of guppy you have. A healthy guppy should not have a red spot. That is a sign of infection or internal rupture and if the guppy were to get pregnant the fry would either be aborted early or born deformed. The rupture could also kill the fish.
There is a fine line between a pink and a red area.

oh...i just checked her again...it appears to be a very pinkish/black spot with black spots so maybe fry are on the way?? :dunno:
