Gravid, or about to take a massive poop?

okay nobody laugh, but I was watching my Corys and noticed that one of them is exceptionally.. full. All of my albinos have this noticeable white spot, I assume it’s poop, but hers is so large that her belly is lower than her head- something none of the others have. Before this, I had only owned mollies. So.. what do we think?

If she is gravid, what do I do? I only have a 20 gallon. I already have 7 corys in it the obvious easy answer is her a bigger tank.. which I want to, at some point, but not right now. I don’t want to overpopulate and I don’t know how to humanely dispatch fish.

I think it is sort of gravid!
they don't fill up in those parts when taking a poo

Female Corydoras develop eggs that can make them look fat. Gravid is a term used for pregnant female livebearers (mollies, swordtails, guppies, platies).

Your fish is just chubby and could have eggs developing inside it.

Once a female lays eggs, if there are other fish in the tank the chances are the eggs will all be eaten before they've had chance to hatch, though with a densely planted tank the odd egg or two may be hidden well enough to hatch and the baby cory survive. But the tank is unlikely to become overpopulated, unlike with livebearers.

Gravid is also a term with egg bearing animals! I’ve seen it used here and I also use it with snakes

Sorry, you’re about a decade too late! Ours were invincible and liked each other soooo Much.
