I have gravel that is a mix of blue and green that have live plants that i put into the gravel. Would it of been better for me to put sand in for the plants instead or does it really matter?
As you already have your gravel installed then I would leave it rather than switching to sand. A substrate change can be big task and may bring about other problems if you're not careful.Funny Pie said:I have gravel that is a mix of blue and green that have live plants that i put into the gravel. If you want the best for your plants then you may need to add some form of nutrients to your gravel. Plain gravel is not ideal for plant growth as it lacks nutrients that are used by the plant's roots. Do you know what plants you have?
