I'm kindo the opposite because I am going from sand to gravel.
I think that in general sand looks nice in tank smaller than 75 gal, have sand in my 100gal and it always looks messy, so what I am doing is i am putting fine pea gravel in my 100gal and am putting sand on my 55gal.
