what fish look best on black gravel and will fit nice in a 10 gallon? Im thinking of maybe neons or cardinals. ive had mollies on black before and they look nice but id like something smaller and faster moving. and what kind of back ground should i use?

also will black angels look good on white gravel or will they lose some of there darkness and the blue on their faces?

White gravel is a definite no. Makes fish very skittish. Black card for tank background looks best in my opinion. Good small tank species include:

honey / sparkling gouramis
Most pygmy rasbora sp.
endlers
guppies
harlequin rasboras
pygmy cories
cherry barbs
Shrimp
Danios and tetras are not really suitable for a 10 gallon tank as they are too active.

These are not all easy to come by and you may have to do a fair bit of phoning about to find them, but they are worth the effort.

:good:
