I was at the local aquarium and saw 10 "Grass Shrimp" for a dollar. Are these safe for a 10 gallon? The tank has a Betta, Swordtail, 3 Cories. Just wondering if I should spend the dollar, my concern is them harming the fish not the other way around they are bigger than any of my fish's mouth.

could you possibly be talking about glass shrimp? otherwise known as ghost shrimp?

I don't think so. These said "Grass Shrimp". It's what got me to post this. They were bigger than Ghost shrimp I see at PetsMart, some were about larger than an inch. They also seemed to float around the tank, while moving a bunch of their little legs. It was odd. I just have never heard of them, has anyone?

I just never seen ghost shrimp so large, and floating around while moving all their legs.

Anyone know anymore on this shrimp. Now I'm just plain curious, and google isn't much help.

there is a link to a site that i got some info from. i just searched "grass shrimp in google and that was my first find. it says that they can grow to be 2" so they grow to be about 1" bigger than ghost shrimp usually do.they might be ok with a betta and swordtail and cories don't touch shrimp (IME). make sure you get bigger specimens. i put ghost shrimp in with platies, a male betta and swordtils and all of the little ones got eaten once they shed their exoskelaton (to grow). well i changed around and got rid of a lot of the fish so i added a dwarf guoromi to the tank. well he ate the rest of them. dam fish! but i still love him

I of course skipped that link, because of the name. Guess I should be more careful next time. :*)

Seems two inch shrimp will look out of place in a 10 gallon, they'd be as big or bigger than everything else in the aquarium. I'll look into another shrimp, to add something different to the landscape. :)
