Can different gouramis get "jiggy?"

I recently bought two Blue Gouramis, and they aren't doing so hot (refer to link for more details).

Anyways, I've noticed that one of my paradise gouramis won't leave the side of one of the blue gouramis. They both just sit there side by side (with the other blue gourami a little lower in the tank (same area)). The paradise comes out to feed and then goes right back.

So, what's going on?? The really weird part is, that I think they are ALL males.

Well, paradise fish are Macropodus, and the blue is a trichogaster.

Going with all the talk of not being able to breed across genus (or was it family), I would think not.

This question belongs in the hybrid forum. :/

I've got to say I doubt their all males as both blue and paradise gouramies are territorial and the males can be aggressive especialy towards one another.

They cannot hybridize though so I suppose that answers your question.
