I want to finish off the tank. Currently-

20g
6 cories
9 danios
Hard water

I was planning on a few more zebra danios (they're mixed) then wanted one or two larger fish (large for the tank size) to finish off with. Sensible? Any suggestions?

I personaly feel you are very nearly fully stocked if you add a few more danios (how many exactly?). What cories do you have as well? Some are bigger than others. You are also faced with the fact that danios and most of the common gouramies occupy the same areas of the tank (the upper layers). Still, if you want a couple of reasonably-sized gouramies, I'd get a single banded (colisa fasciata) and a single thick-lipped (colisa labiosa) or a pair of either.

I actually like the dwarf gouramis. There are so many colors, and even sizes are a little different. And you could get a pair of gouramis too. THey are just beautiful! They also have th esparklers, if you can find them, no one around here has them. They are pretty small, but so pretty! You could get likea 1m, 2fm group of them. I would think you'd be ok as long as you didn't get too many more danios, maybe just 2-3.
Post some pix when you're done!! :D

I don't know if I've misread but by this i thought you meant you were going to get a few more danios but then decided on one or 2 gouramis instead. Could you clarify?
