Gouramis Nibbling ?

is it known for gouramis to nibble at guppys tails ?
i have noticed one or two guppys with bits of there tails missing.
in the past ive only know chilids to do this. )(but i am a newbie!)

Gouramis can get aggressive if they are kept in a smallish tank. wot size ya got?
