Gouramis + Angels?

ok...i was wondering if its possible to keep angelfish with gouramis...my mother just purchased some very pretty gouramis and she also wants some angels...is it ok to keep them together or will there be conflict?

I have a Dwarf Neon Gourami and an Angel together and have no problems, but I'm not an expert, and as you know things can go really "pear shaped" overnight!

I've had 6 Gourami's with 2 Angels and there wasn't a problem, never has been, they ignore each other. So shouldn't be a problem.

I have a pair of Angels, of decent size now, with a single female 3-spot Gourami and I don't have any issues at all. In fact i'm pretty sure the Gourami thinks it's an Angel sometimes and tags along with them.

i would make sure they're bigger angels just to be safe because i know the little ones can be picked on. also depends on what type of gourami since some are way more aggressive than others.
